Bahamut Lagoon - Issues?

Is there a patch out there for Bahamut Lagoon that will work on the Retron5 without issue? I tried the one here on MediaFire, but it garbled the text for spell names and items. The naming screen also still included Japanese fonts for the approval text at the top of the screen.

I tried the emu version of the file from RomHacking.net, which seemed a bit better, but still garbled some of the text.

Thinking that maybe I have version 1.1 of the game (the IPS patch only works on v1.0), I tried making my own IPS file but that one wouldn't even load past the start screen. It's possible that I messed up this process, though, as I didn't try removing headers or anything.

Yeah the one I made is for v1.0, I'll see if I can make one for 1.1 later tonight

Now that I got the chance to look at it, there's not multiple versions of the game but there are multiple versions of the patch. The one that was used as a basis doesn't play as nice with the Retron 5 and Snes9x. I've fixed that to the best of my ability.

If there's any more glitches unfortunately there's nothing else I can do so hopefully this one will work better for you. There's only so much testing I can do on this since I don't have the original cartridge. Anyway, try it out.

Also for making or fixing you're own patches...even though the Retron 5 has the option to read them...when creating patches, remove the header on the base rom you're converting from at the very least.

Thanks! I just had a chance to try out the new patch last night, and this one works great with my copy of Bahamut Lagoon! No more scrambled text!
