Crazy controller

Hello here !
Today i have got a new controller that i want to use with my Retron5 , this is it : http://magixbuttons.com/shop/controller ... stick-snes
But when i plug it into my Retron5 , the Retron5 become crazy , it's like all buttons are press at the same time , and i must unplugged the controller for take back the hand of the Retron5 ...
Is there someone who knows what is the problem ?
