Pokemon Green

I recently imported Pokemon Green and grabbed the translation off ROMhacking, but when I started to play it with the patch, I started to get really weird text, like so 
Is there any way to know if my cart is v1.0 or 1.1? I assume it's 1.1 or I wouldn't be getting problems, since it says fully playable. Is there any way to look to import one that is 1.0?
