First off....thank you Hikaricore for starting this forum. R9delta, thank you so much for all of your patches.

I just have one simple request. I downloaded the following patch for the combined Final Fantasy I & II cart for the Famicom from here: http://www.romhacking.net/translations/138/ however it doesn't work so well.

On the website, I found the following two updates in their ROM Hack section:
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/1595/
and
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/1607/

These should fix the problem, but I don't know how to combine all three patches so that I can use them on the Retron 5. Any help would be appreciated. Once again, R9delta, thank you so much for all your work!

Got a fix for you with the translation patch and update #1 stacked together but saving doesn't seem to be fixed when played on the Retron 5 (FF1 and 2 overwrite each other). Update #2 is broken even when using on a rom on the pc (cuts the rom size in half and corrupts GFX/breaks FF2) so any patch I would make using that would just be flawed to begin with. So unfortunately with all that in mind, this is the best I or probably anyone else can do for you:

Final Fantasy I & II (Translated with Update #1):

EDIT: Turns out even though the save issue is fixed using update #1 only certain emulators are able to take advantage of that fix. The nes emulator that the Retron 5 rips off (FCEU) is not one of those. So unfortunately this issue will never be able to be fixed unless Hyperkin switches to a different emulator like Nestopia. It's because of the way Demiforce made the translation to being with and the fix doesn't translate well to a real NES nor older emulators.

R9delta, thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate your efforts.

I'll give your patch a try once I get home from work. I'm not too worried about the save feature because I could always use the save state feature of the Retron 5. Maybe use Save State 1 for FFI and Save State 2 for FF2.

Thank you again for taking your time to work on this. You are amazing!
