Forum registrations closing. [Updated!]
I'm going to be closing new registrations to the forum soon, unless someone has a really good reason for me not to do so. The site will remain up for the foreseeable future, but to be honest the majority of new registrations are spam bots and I'm just tired (and I'm sure the remaining moderators and admins are too) of purging them regularly. If I find an alternate option, such as a less broken captcha, I'll update this post.
Re: Forum registrations closing.
Yeah. I gotta be honest, most of my time here is spent banning and deleting bots...which I don't mind but there isn't much else going on and the occasional patch I upload here just gets flooded by bots anyway. As stated though if anyone wants to object to the potential decision to close registrations I'm up for hearing it myself as well.

Re: Forum registrations closing.
Sorry for the delay on this. I 100% didn't intend for the decision to take until fall to be followed through on.
New user registrations are now closed. Current site user can continue to use the site as they always have, and as I stated it won't be going anywhere for a good while. Thank you all for your understanding and take care.

Re: Forum registrations closing. [Updated!]
Just a heads up for everyone. I've updated phpBB and added some additional security measures, so registration is once again open. Should the problem recur, we'll visit the topic again. I know these forums are still used a little bit, and I'm not intending to let them go anytime soon, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to open things back up again for everyone. Godspeed.
