I came across the Sonic 2 (Gen) Nick Arcade Alpha and Simon Wai Beta, among a few hacks, but these hacks are in xdelta format on Romhacking. Is it possible to convert them to IPS?

I unfortunately cannot find the source for the Alpha and Beta, as I found these long ago on my old PC, and have forgotten where I located them, luckily they were still on my old PC and I was able to grab them via remote access.

Edit-I wonder if it's actually possible to run the Alpha/Beta off the Retro Freak itself since it supports native ROMS. One way to find out, I guess...

Edit x2-I got the two prototypes running on the Retro Freak, so now all I need are the hacks in IPS format. Great way to end the weekend!

Yes it's possible. Basic process is using an xdelta patcher on a PC to apply the hacks. use a program like Lunar IPS between the clean base roms you want to use and the hacked roms to make the IPS patches. I can do it but I won't get to it for awhile.

Hello there, guys. New Retron 5 user here, fond of JRPG.
I am looking for a translation patch for two Genesis (or Megadrive, i'm european but no compatibility problem whatsoever) gems, Langrisser (Warsong for west) and Landstalker.
Is there any way you can help (I'm asking you because your Retron 5 patch list is awesome and has been very useful so far)?
Thanks in advance

To create your own patch, download the exact ROM you want to convert from and the ROM you want to convert to. Google and download a program called LunarIPS. Use it to make your patch using those 2 roms.

This basic process will work for NES and Genesis/MD games. SNES is a bit more involved.
