Hmmm...It seems like when I try to patch it and load it up on my RetroPie, it just sticks at a black screen. Am I somehow patching it wrong? I'm just using lunar ips and applying the 1.2 patch to 1.2. Maybe I'll try another IPS program.

But props to you, there goes the only reason to get an SNES classic.

I'll do some further testing and find out if it's emulation related or a problem with the patch and get back to you, sorry about that. Also check and make sure the rom you're patching doesn't have a header (otherwise that explains the black screen). Or if you want just keep an eye out on your PMs for a message from me.

Yeah after testing on the Retro Freak everything checks out with both the original roms and the patches i made based off them. I think it's likely because you might be trying to patch a rom that has a header. My patches have always been made to be patched onto a headerless rom to keep compatibility with the Retron 5 and Retro Freak. If you're ever using my patches on anything other than the Retron 5 make sure you're using this (https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/593/) to make sure the rom you're patching doesn't have a header and if it does remove it first.
