BS Zelda is a game (or rather a series of) that was released for an obscure add on for the Super Famicom called the Satellaview. BS Zelda is remake of the original Legend of Zelda that takes advantage of the impressive and sometimes odd enhancements from the Satellaview. The game was originally broadcasted to Japanese gamers to be played at a certain time a day for only an hour. Eventually a rom dump was preserved for the game and patches were made to either add the original features back in or combine all the broadcasts into one. A "Map 2" version was eventually released as well which changes up the map layout of the game.

For more info on it this video provides a pretty good idea:

As well as this website:

I've created a few basic patches that will serve as the best way to play both Map 1 and 2 of BS Zelda as well as "Third Adventure" (makes BS Zelda a bit closer to the original Legend of Zleda)

BS Zelda - Map 1 and 2 (Apply to Zelda LTTP US ver.):

BS Zelda - Third Quest (Apply to Zelda LTTP US ver.):

Next up are patches for BS Zelda - The Ancient Stone Tablets. This is a sort of 4-part sequel to Link to the Past. Much like the original BS Zelda it was broadcasted to the Satellaview during certain times of the day for 4 weeks. After Part 1 is finished the save data will carry on to Part 2 and so on.

To effectively play this game you'll need to start from Week 1 and use the same save data for up to Week 4. This is easily accomplished on the Retron 5 by making sure you do NOT select to use a separate save for the patch. This of course means you need to BACK UP your original save data for Link to the Past before taking this game on. I am not responsible if you lose your save data if you do not.

I'd make patches for the Super Famicom version of Zelda LTTP but there's 3 versions of it in japan so that'd be a pain in the ass right now if i'm going to do it right

Probably not the thread for this question but I'm curious if anybody has played through map 1? I beat the first 2 dungeons and when I went to the shop to buy the blue candle there is no blue candle...I noticed the timer was at 1:07 at the start...anyhow, just wondering if anybody has gotten past this w this particular patch or if it's just me :)
