Nobody here?

Post by 1pil » September 30th, 2015, 12:13 pm

What's going on? Why is nobody on here anymore???? Is there another popular forum I am not aware of?
Because it hasn't been active in months. No firmware updates or replies to any questions I made.

There's no firmware updates because Hyperkin does not release them and they barely support the Retron 5 as it is. I'm not sure why you feel the need to hold responsibility to a 3rd party forum for that. As for answers to your questions, we have barely over 200 users and a lot less that are active as a lot have simply signed up to ask a question or request a patch and then promptly make their way out once they found what they were looking for....my point being, there may not be a lot of users here that actually know the answers to some of your questions.

While this forum has trickled down in activity quite a bit, this is still the most popular out there. Honestly it's the only one I know of that's dedicated to it for that matter. There's a few topics out there where you can talk about it on other sites like Racketboy, Digitpress, AtariAge, and maybe others but this is still going to be the most comprehensive place to talk about it or get info. You can't blame even the most popular place for it for having low activity when it's about a gaming device that has had the ball dropped on it to begin with (little support, very few places to actually buy it, quality issues, etc..)

I'm also a huge slacker with a full time job and a family. XD The plus side is that said job keeps this forum online, but said family doesn't permit me as much time as it used to. D: We're happy to have the active members that we do, but yea until Hyperkin provides more updates and generates further interest in their (arguably) console things may continue to decline.
