Re: Zelda: link to the past
lol Why would u need a translation to begin with? The game is just as simple in Japanese. Anyone can playthrough it and beat it, the only reason you'd ever need english is if you're obsessed with reading the story over and over. Just like Japanese Mario games, easily beatable in Japanese because the...

Re: N64/Game Gear for Retron?
Actually an extension to the system would be better....something that actually plugs into it so we don't have to pay extra for an entire other system....and a n64 retron wouldnt make sense because it would basically be a re-release of N64....I don't see any point in that. If it only played n64 games...

GameGenie/actionreplay Inside a game? or
Since we can do this whole rom patching thing. I was wondering about something. I don't know if its possible but is there anyway to add like a action replay rom, game genie rom file into a game Or actually has anyone tried adding game genie rom patch and load it onto retron5 like we do with other ro...

Re: Cheats not working for SMS games
Thats odd. Because there is a full or well not full...but there is a master system cheat xml I would have assumed they would all work? But your saying they don't. I don't see why they wouldn't unless they are codes you added? And even so...if you added them properly they should be working. I wish I ...

Following are the source files used by RetroN 5 for manipulating the save data. Placed into the public domain - use as you desire. dataFile.h #ifndef _DATAFILE_H #define _DATAFILE_H #define RETRON_DATA_MAGIC (0x354E5452) // "RTN5" #define RETRON_DATA_FORMAT_VER (1) #define RETRON_DATA_TMP...

Re: Saved State Format
Probably would be a waste of your time. I doubt there is a way to make them compatible with pc emulators. It's either they can be or can't be. I think its as simple as that. And even if there was a way to allow conversion to pc emulator, I don't know if there would be any way to convert it back to a...

Re: Seiken Densetsu 3
I own it as well and its working perfectly. And I'm using the translation for it. Actually no I am sorry its not 100% okay, I had some minor issues actually like it crashed on and off first time playing it with the patch. I can only assume it was the patches fault lol since it certainly has its own ...

Re: Looking for translation patch - The one I found doesn't
As for finding translations there is a LOT of games that never got translations at all. For example the very first Fire Emblem has not been translated. This translation worked fine for me: http://www.romhacking.net/translations/1593/ Holy crap it WAS translated? Oh wow...thats so cool! O: Well I lo...

Re: dragon quest 2-4 not working on my retron 5
Makes no sense. I don't own 2 through 4, but I got DQ 5 and 6 and both work. I also got DQ1(US version) and that works. Did you try blowing them? Eject and reinject it? Or rebooting the system and turning it back on? They should work if you say your other systems are loading them fine I don't see wh...
