Re: How To Edit XML Cheat File
Correct. The Retron 5 will pull up the cheat database based on the cartridge that's inserted...NOT what you're patching to. There's a way around that but its a pain in the ass. I've explained in a couple of times in other threads as well as a reddit thread about this that i'll link below: https://ww...

Re: Zelda A Link to the Past Randomizers
Yeah it's possible. Should be pretty easy really using 3 things: A US rom of Link to the Past with the header removed, the output sfc that you're referring to, and the program lunar ips. Lunar ips will create a patch using the roms I spoke of (using US Lttp as your base rom and the new rom with rand...

Re: How To Edit XML Cheat File
The only thing I can recommend trying is to download either the exact rom that matches the cartridge you have or just a complete NES romset from somewhere like emuparadise (referred to as an "NES Goodset") and use a tool like RapidCRC (http://rapidcrc.sourceforge.net/) to check the CRC of ...

Re: Copy save to SMS cart
As far as I understand it yes it's an issue that was never addressed by Hyperkin. At first saves did not work at all period but they've at least fixed that. Also you can play Mark III cartridges by using the Retro Freak Gear Converter from by Cyber Gadget (works exactly like Hyperkin's adapter but p...

Yeah this forum is a bit inactive these days unfortunately but as the guy around here that does patch requests and helps moderate i'll still check it pretty frequently so if you have any other requests don't hesitate to ask. Glad you found what you were looking for

Re: North & South English patch for Famicom?
No one has made one since a US version exists already. I'll see if I can whip up a jpn -> us conversion patch for you so check back in a day or 2 (doesn't take me that long normally but i wont have access to my pc for a little bit). Also keep in mind we have a patch section on this forum as well if ...

Re: Loading from Cart vs SD Card
I can only give a personal anecdote but I find the Retro Freak has less input lag than the Retron 5 unless filters are being used on Genesis/Mega Drive games for some odd reason. If filters are not being used (outside of scanlines) then Genesis is fine and has less as well. Generally the thing that ...
