Re: Snes & SMD Roms arent working
Assuming you are patching the roms to an existing cartridge, you have to be using a valid patch for the right version of the cart, belonging to the correct system in order to achieve this. If you're not patching, I can't say for sure what you're doing, because the Retron5 doesn't support roms from t...

I added these sections to expand our community. Sadly enough Hyperkin seems to to be just going through the motions with the Retron 5 at this point, and I thought it would be a nice alternative for discussion.

Re: SD card and little info
I'm really sorry that you didn't get a response to your issue on our forum. It's a small community and this time of year many people are still winding down from the holidays. If you feel like being helpful and sharing your resolution, it may be of some use to others in the future.

Re: Pier Solar (Genesis/Mega Drive) (Apply to Sonic 2)
Well, shit. XD
Honestly this may not be insurmountable on the Retro Freak. Folks have already figured out how to run other android apps on the unit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnArsOSe9Aw Can't imagine it would be much harder to replace default application versions.

Re: Note to new Retro Freak owners

Re: Retro Freak Gear Converter Announced
Yea, pretty much. If it were included with the deluxe edition I might be down to spend a few more bucks, but this is quite steep. I'll admit however, if they come out with an N64 port in the future.. I'd pay whatever the hell they ask.

Forum Changes
A few of you may have noticed a couple minor changes to the forum. With the recent release of the Retro Freak, and the semi-apparent stagnation of the Retron 5.. I felt the forum needed to expand from it's origins. I've setup a few sections specific to the Retro Freak and can add more by request. So...

Re: Codemasters Game Genie on Retron 5?
Likely if you tested it, only the Game Genie rom would dump and the game attached would be unplayable. This is sorta how the Retron 5 works.

I've made some adjustments to the account creation process and blacklisted a number of unsavoury ip blocks, so hopefully that holds back the tide for a little bit until I can get a closer look at how they're getting through. Feel free to PM me directly if there's another huge wave of nonsense posts ...
