I just downgraded to the beta as suggested and the game does not crash now! Thanks for the advice. I will bring it up again with the Retron guys as you suggested, as I do not want it to be a problem with updates going forward. Thanks.

From what people are reporting it seems these issues are cropping up when firmware 2.2 hit. 2.1 didn't seem to have a problem.
