I don't think the patents on the N64 have expired yet, have they? I think that's all that's holding it up, unless I'm mistaken.

I've got an issue with SNES Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Cart is clean as can be. Its' the only game I'm having this issue with, and I'm using the latest firmware. Basically, I'm getting sound dropouts. Sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for about a minute.

Strange. Had Oracle of Seasons, which I purchased from a store I know cleans everything that comes in, and it wouldn't load in the Retron 5. If it did load, it didn't recognize the Rom and I would get a white screen. Brought the game back to the shop, and it worked fine in two different legit Gamebo...

So, what would happen if I updated the consoles application prior to the system update? Can I still update the system or do I have to somehow roll back and start again? I'm sort of afraid to update the system now at this point.
