Already e-mailed them, let's see if they'll reply.R9delta wrote:Hmm....strange. That sucks, sounds like the R5 just really doesn't like the jpn version of PSIV or there's something up with the pins. I'd probably hit up Hyperkin on this one. Maybe compatibility got botched with PSIV at some point.

Re: Phantasy Star The End of the Millennium for JPN Mega Dri
There's generally one of four reasons you're having this issue...the cartridge is really a repo and not legitimate (Retron has always had horrid support for repos), the cartridge is defective or damaged enough where the Retron 5 cannot read the complete rom, the emulation is not up to snuff, or the...

Anyone tried the RetroFreak w/ Manual Lag Test of 240p Suite
Hey there, In terms of CRT gaming, I get less lags from Normal emulators on my media PC, followed by my XRGB-Mini which adds a little lag (nothing that gives me any issues) and then the RetroN 5 which has the worst lag ever. I was wondering, when using the Manual Lag Test of the 240p Test Suite, how...

Phantasy Star The End of the Millennium for JPN Mega Drive
I bought this game along with many other RPGs. I buy the Japanese versions because they are cheaper and I can just create IPS patches to play them in English. This is the only game that I bought that simply doesn't play. It sees it as an unknown cart regardless of how many times I scrub it with cott...

Re: No new firmware for over a month, trouble in Hyperkind l
Has anyone heard ANY news at all from any sites about Hyperkin? I can't seem to find any updated info or news about what is going on. And especially no Retron 5 news at all. It's almost like it never existed. I asked about it on several sites, people just replied with "wtf is that?" Let's...

Re: Well the input lag of the Retron 5 really blows
You can still complain to them. If more and more people complained, they would work around it. But honestly, knowing little to nothing about programming, I dont know if that will be even possible to fix. It's an android machine with emulators, after all. I'm guessing there are limitations and cost ...

Re: Well the input lag of the Retron 5 really blows
Hey there, the_importer. I'm glad someone here understands me. Lag ruined this console for me in most games. 40 milliseconds is what this console has for lag. Anyone saying it's unnoticeable clearly isn't sure what they're talking about, cause 40 ms is VERY NOTICEABLE. Try playing Super Mario Kart ...

Re: Well the input lag of the Retron 5 really blows
there is some test results with numbers re: lag here http://retrorgb.com/retron5review.html I haven't noticed much lag really(and normally when I play on pc emulators there is enough for it to be distracting) Problem is that I tried NES and Famicom games for my tests. Since he mentioned that SNES l...
