Neat! Thank you for your quick work to make this available.
It has been an interesting bit of code from what I've read so far.

Re: Charging R5 controller
I'm guessing they went with the micro instead of mini because a mini to mini is hard to find maybe? Although I'd never seen a micro to mini before either, so I dunno, but I guess it's a natural consequence of the usb otg have you tried just a standard cellphone charger maybe? Re: Well the input lag of the Retron 5 really blows
well, since you bring up nintendo there is an interesting discussion about lag in the context of the wii u over at gamefaqs http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/631516-wii-u/68178393 I guess I should note that I'm currently hooked up to a monitor with an hdmi>dvi no sound so maybe that's a factor in relat...

Re: Well the input lag of the Retron 5 really blows
there is some test results with numbers re: lag here http://retrorgb.com/retron5review.html

Re: Any aftermarket wireless controllers?
@dashv you wanna make an omlet you may have to break some warranties ;) actually truth be told I don't know what the warranty is on r5 nor what might break it. the console is pretty roboust given that the 'maskrom' mode for flashing from rkbatchtool is pretty difficult to wreck. I flashed an image t...

How to boot Retron5 in android recovery mode
The Retron5 will boot to recovery when a SD Card is mounted at boot time with the magic string: "RETRON5___BOOTSD" the first 16 bytes of /dev/block/mmcblk0 are dumped with hexdump in mountfs.sh and compared to 525445525f354e4f4f425f5f4453544f RTER_5NOOB__DSTO :) This also causes /data and ...

@Retron Tèch
@HK Mktg
I take your statements about wanting to be in compliance with the applicable licenses at face value.
Can we have the gpl kernel source for the retron5? other rockchip 3066 devices have had kernel source released in the past
Please and thank you

Re: Any aftermarket wireless controllers?
are you tryng to use an .apk? or hci directly? or the stock hyperkin pairing process?dashv wrote: I've tried to pair the nes30 with the Retron 5. It won't pair no matter what mode I try it in.
Code: Select all
adb shell hcitool scan
shows the wiimote and a bluetooth dongle I have although I didn't really try to pair
