Anyone able to get a snes multitap working on this? Mine doesn't seem to recognize it but it asks for there to be one whenever I try to mess with controller option 3 and above.

That re-translation is meant to be applied to the US rom, which is exactly what your cartridge is not. That's why it doesn't work.
